| I have been doing a horrible job at updating my xanga. To be honest, it just hasn't been a priority for me. I've been pretty busy with work and doctoral dissertations and all that other stuff.....needless to say, I no longer work at Nike. I decided to resign my position b/c to be quite honest, it wasn't fun anymore LOL. Things at work have been pretty nuts to say the least and I was beginning to miss my free time. All in all, the job served its purpose and now I can focus on some other things.
Well, that's about it for now. I have been struggling with this cough and sinus stuff for a couple weeks now, so I am going to get a nice, tall glass of ice cold water, tuck myself in my sheets on my bed and take a WONDERFUL siesta.
Love you all!
PS...if any of you are looking for a professional speaker/motivator/workshop presenter..hit me up at my business email. dorseyenterprises@gmail.com more info. to come :)

| I have no comment......UNBELIEVABLE!
OCONOMOWOC, Wisconsin (AP) -- A man says he broke into an
apartment with a cavalry sword because he thought he heard a woman
being raped, but the sound actually was from a pornographic movie his
upstairs neighbor was watching. "Now I feel stupid," said James Van Iveren, who has been charged in the case. "This really is nothing, nothing but a mistake." According
to a criminal complaint, the neighbor told police that Van Iveren
pounded on the door and kicked it open without warning February 12,
damaging the frame and lock. (Watch what damage Van Iveren allegedly left and how the neighbor will watch porn in the future ) "Where is she?" Van Iveren demanded, thrusting the sword at the neighbor, the complaint said. "Where is she?" The
neighbor told police Van Iveren became increasingly aggressive as he
repeated the question, insisting that he had heard a woman being raped.
The complaint said that, with the sword pointed at him, the neighbor
led Van Iveren throughout the apartment, opening closet doors to prove
he was alone. The neighbor later played for police the part of the DVD he believed Van Iveren heard downstairs. Van
Iveren, 39, of Oconomowoc, was charged with criminal trespass, criminal
damage and disorderly conduct, all while using a dangerous weapon, and
is scheduled to appear in court March 5. Together, the misdemeanor
counts carry a maximum sentence of 33 months in jail. Van Iveren
said Tuesday that he heard a woman "screaming for help," grabbed the
sword, bounded up the stairs, kicked in the apartment door and
confronted the man who lived there. "I intended to hold it behind
my back and knock. But I froze and instead, what happened happened," he
told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Contesting his neighbor's
account, Van Iveren said he didn't look anywhere in the apartment
except the front room, and that he never threatened the neighbor with
the sword. "I had the sword extended, but that was all," he said. Van
Iveren, who lives with his mother in the downstairs apartment, said he
did not call police when he heard the noises because he does not have a
telephone. He said he barely knew the upstairs tenant. Police seized Van Iveren's sword, which he said was a family heirloom. | | |
| I know, it has been a LONG time...wow, January 17th was my last post. To be honest, I have been meaning to update this page several times but just didn't feel it. LOL, I'm sure you understand. Actually, I think I am going to do like my girl Cindy and join the google blogger site, just don't have the motivation to do it just yet. BTW Cindy, I'm not one of your favorites? I'll remember that ;)
Anyhow, I am in Baltimore right now. Decided that I was going to take advantage of my 3 day weekend (Yay for President's Day and GOVERNMENT JOBS) and fly to B'more to see my parents. I get them all to myself :) Needless to say, it has been a great visit thus far. Flew in late last night, had a great Shrimp Fried Rice and Shrimp Egg Foo Young Dinner which was GREAT b/c the Greene County Board of MRDD made me earn EVERY SINGLE dime I will get on my next pay check lol Life was kind of crazy on Friday but will have to tell you about that later.
Saturday I got up, dropped some stuff off at the shoe repair shop and alteration shop...went to get a haircut by my barber, spoke at a friend of mine's youth group and then went to see Daddy's Little Girls with my parents. GREAT MOVIE...check it out! Now, I am watching the Illusionist, don't know what happenned to make me miss it but I'm glad my folks have the dvd. Anyway, I am going to get back to my movie...so have a great rest of the weekend and we will catch up a little later.

| I went out to Palm Springs, CA this weekend. What a great time away! For those that don't know, I am in the process of setting up my professional speaking career. While it is still going to take some time, I believe the Lord has set up some great stuff. A friend of mine by the name of Dion is a fellow DLPer who has been EXTREMELY successful w/ his speaking. The retreat this weekend helped solidify and confirm this is the direction the Lord is taking me in and for that I am PUMPED! However, there were some more serious issues that needed to be tended to during this trip...I had to preach on Sunday AM!
Lemme just say, the Lord totally blessed and I had a great time of fellowship with another body of believers on the other side of the country! Special shout outs to Dr. Summerville for "Hooking a brotha up!!!"
On a different note....it was warmer in Ohio then it was in Southern Cali! What's up with that? LOL I had to wear my leather jacket, hat and at some points, my leather gloves while walking around the desert at night.
Yeah, B'more didn't make out too well this weekend either at PSI Net Stadium...I guess there's always next year. GO NEW ENGLAND! Yeah, I know you are supposed to cheer for the ones who beat you in the playoff..but it goes against my Baltimore Religion to root for the COLTS! If you wanna know why, just check back in time to 1984....Mayflower Trucks.....flight by night! And that's all I have to say about THAT!
Happy Tuesday :)
